Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

UNIVERSITY CASHIER'S OFFICE FAQ'S:

How do I contact the Student Accounts/Cashier's Office?
You may call (479)575-5651. Written inquiries may be mailed to:

University of Arkansas
Treasurer's Office
ADMN 215
Fayetteville AR  72701

Where do I send my payment?
Visit the Make a Payment page for payment information.

My billing statement looks wrong. Why am I being charged twice?
Since tuition and fees are charged on a per credit hour basis, there will be a entry on your billing statement for registration fees, student fees, and the college fee each time you change your registration.

What is the Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship?
The Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship is a variable rate scholarship that will pay ONLY the amount of your non-resident tuition. The amount viewable on the Account Summary is an estimate value. Excess funds will NOT be refunded to you after the scholarship has applied to your account.

How can I check the status of my bank loan or scholarship?
Contact the Financial Aid Office at (479) 575-3806 for information regarding any financial aid question.

Why is my financial aid not applied to my account?
Financial aid does not appear on your first billing statement for a semester. Most financial aid is automatically applied 10 days before classes begin. If your aid has not applied and there are less than ten days remaining before classes start, contact the Financial Aid Office at (479) 575-3806.

Can I pick up my refund check?
No, university policy is to mail ALL checks.

Why doesn't my statement show the total amount due when I sign up for the installment plan?
When you sign up for the installment plan, your total balance owed (less non-registration related charges) is transferred to a payment plan--in essence, making your total balance owed zero. You are then charged a portion of the total balance owed each month (in the form of an payment plan installment) until those installments equal the original debt.

The first billing statement you receive after accepting a payment plan will have two entries associated with the payment plan. The total amount transferred to the payment plan will appear as a credit under the heading Payments & Refunds Since Prior Invoice. The amount of the first payment plan installment will appear as a charge under the heading Charges Since Prior Invoice. Each month, the amount of the current installment due (plus any past installments that were not paid in full) will appear under the heading Amount Due Now.

Can I pay my tuition in installments?
Yes, as long as your balance due is for current tuition, fees and housing. There is a $25.00 non-refundable charge for this service.

How do I pay my past due balance?
Any balance that is not for a current semester is directed to the Collections Department of the Treasurer's Office. They will assist you with your questions or make payment arrangements.

Contact the Office of Student Loans at (479) 575-3447.

ACCOUNTING OFFICE FAQ'S:

Where is my payroll check?
Check with your department representative to see if checks have been received.
