What is an eCheck?
eCheck is a payment option for tuition/fee payments accessed via the ISIS Student Center. When you make an eCheck payment, funds are deducted from your bank account, much like writing a check against your account. You must make sure that sufficient funds exist in your account to cover your payment. The transaction will appear on your bank statement as UAF – Tuition & Fees .

How do I make an eCheck payment?
eCheck payments cannot be accepted at the University Cashier’s Office window or over the telephone. All eCheck payments must be initiated by you through ISIS. An instructional document detailing the process to complete an eCheck payment can be found here.

Is the eCheck payment option charged the convenience fee?
No, eCheck payments are not assessed the convenience fee for Tuition/Fee payments.

What is the eCheck Registration/Confirmation process?
In order to use the eCheck payment option, you must register and confirm that you want to use the eCheck payment option. The confirmation process also demonstrates your ownership of the registered email account. The eCheck registration process needs to be completed only once for the duration that you have an active ISIS account under the same ISIS login ID. To learn about the eCheck Registration/Confirmation process, click here to view the instructional document on use of the eCheck Payment System.

What is the secret question used for?
The eCheck Payment system is a secure payment method and thus requires that you authenticate your identity to the system using your secret question/answer combination. The answer you select is case-sensitive. If you forgot your answer, after 7 failed login attempts, your account will be locked until it is reset by Treasurer’s Office staff. You will be notified that you need to re-register for the eCheck Payment System. If you lock your account on a weekend or after 5PM Monday-Friday, it may not be reset until the next business day.
