Fall 2008

Dropping Classes and Adjustments to Your Account
After the fifth class day — August 29, 2008 — there is no cancellation of tuition and fees for full term courses that are dropped while you continue to be enrolled.
Tuition and fees are cancelled at 100% for full term courses dropped on or before August 29, 2008 as long as you remain enrolled.

Withdrawal from the University
You will not receive 100% adjustment of tuition and fees unless you officially withdraw on or before August 24, 2008. Students who register and then decide not to attend must officially withdraw from the University before the first day of classes to receive 100% tuition and fee cancellation. Students receiving financial aid who drop or withdraw from classes may be responsible for repayment of loans and other financial assistance. For more information on the withdrawal policy visit the Treasurer's Office Withdrawing from the UofA page.

After the eleventh class day, awards and disbursements will be made based on the eleventh day enrollment. Hours that are to be added by overrides will not count towards financial aid unless the override is completed and you are registered for the class before the eleventh class day.

Disbursement of financial aid and scholarships will begin on August 20, 2008. The mailing of refund checks will begin three business days after financial aid is disbursed. They are mailed to the last permanent address on record unless a separate check address has been submitted. Please verify the permanent and/or check address before August 15, 2008.
